Busy during the weeknights, but want that hearty, home cooked tasting pasta dish that the whole family will love?!  Then THIS is the recipe for you.  It is jam packed with flavor that anyone will love and it’s so easy that anyone could make…yes…even your kids!!  Literally just toss everything together and watch the magic happen!  It’s such a yummy dish that I bet everyone will want seconds!  :)  ENJOY!

One Pot Tomato Basil Pasta

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spiral pasta
  • 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 2 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 medium-size yellow onion, sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/3 c fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp dried crushed red pepper
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Place all ingredients (except for the cheese) in a Dutch oven in order of ingredient list.

Cover and bring to a boil over medium-high heat (about 12 to 15 minutes).

Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook,covered, 10 to 12 minutes or until pasta is slightly al dente (stirring at 5-minute intervals).

Stir just before serving, top with Parmesan cheese.
