Does your family have a recipe that’s pretty much your go-to recipe that you just throw everything together and ta-da?! LOL That’s pretty much what this Hamburger Tomato “Stuff” recipe is. My dad started making it quite a few years ago because you literally just throw a bunch of things into a pot and let it cook. There’s really no measuring or specifics and we tend to mix it up sometimes with what we add, but all in all it comes out delicious! :) Sometimes we eat it like a soup and sometimes we eat it over pasta. And by the way, the leftovers are great! :) It’s the prefect comfort food for a cold winter’s day! ENJOY!
Hamburger Tomato “Stuff”
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 bag frozen pepper/onion mix
- 3 large cans of diced tomatoes
- 1 large can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 large can of tomato puree
- Italian spice and basil
- 16 oz of cooked pasta
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
- Add pepper/onion mix to beef once browned and cook slightly.
- When peppers and onions are cooked through, add canned tomato products.
- Add Italian spice and basil to taste.
- Continue to cook until heated through.
- Serve over cooked pasta.
