Red Gold Tomatoes help celebrate Spring with Hamburger Tomato “Stuff” recipe

Hamburger Tomato "Stuff"

I hope you are having a great start to spring. To celebrate the thaw, we made this delicious family recipe with products from Red Gold Tomatoes!  I was lucky enough to have received a special Springtime gift pack from Red Gold Tomatoes to help achieve this comfort food!

As you may know, Red Gold began in the 1940s growing food for the U.S. Army during World War II, and is now family-owned and run by its third generation. They grow their tomatoes on family farms in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, where true seasons positively impact flavor — with just the right angle of the sun, perfect temperature, and soil that seems made for growing tomatoes.

I also participated in a fun Pinterest promotion to “Shake-up” Spring mealtime!  Want to join as well?  From April 22 to May 20, Red Gold wants all fans to join in and share their own inspiration for a “Spring Shake-Up” at Red Gold Tomatoes website. Each pin enters for a chance to win one of four Red Gold picnic gift baskets valued at $350!  The idea?  Pin any idea that helps inspire you this Springtime!

Does your family have a recipe that’s pretty much your go-to recipe that you just throw everything together and ta-da?!  LOL  That’s pretty much what this Hamburger Tomato “Stuff” recipe is.  My dad started making it quite a few years ago because you literally just throw a bunch of things into a pot and let it cook.  There’s really no measuring or specifics and we tend to mix it up sometimes with what we add, but all in all it comes out delicious!  :)  Sometimes we eat it like a soup and sometimes we eat it over pasta.  And by the way, the leftovers are great!  :)  It’s the prefect comfort food for a cold winter’s day!  ENJOY!
