This recipe was really delicious! It’s super rich, so if you want it to be more savory, do not use a lot of the sauce that it makes towards the end of the cooking process. It’s so easy to make and definitely hearty to eat on a cold fall day. The whole family will love it! ENJOY!
Crockpot Honey Garlic ChickenPrint Recipe
- 1/2 c chicken broth
- 1/4 c plus 1 tbsp honey
- 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 and 1/2 lb small red potatoes, halved
- 1 small onion, cut into wedges
- 1.5 lbs chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp cold water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp parsley
Spray crockpot with cooking spray.
In small bowl mix broth, 1/4 c honey, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Add potatoes and onion to slow cooker and arrange chicken on top.
Pour broth mixture on top of chicken and potatoes and sprinkle with parsley; cover and cook on low for 4.5-5.5 hours or until potatoes are tender and chicken is cooked through.
Remove chicken and vegetables to platter; cover and keep warm and strain out any large chicken chunks from juices in crockpot.
Add water and cornstarch to crockpot and whisk into cooking juices.
Cover and cook on high for 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly thickened and bubbly around edges.
With whisk, add butter and remaining 1 tablespoon honey and the soy sauce.
Serve sauce with chicken and vegetables.
