Cheesy Smoked Sausage and Pasta recipe

I’m not one that is a huge fan of sausage, but this recipe…how could you not love the cheesy, deliciousness of it all?  I mean, it has everything a good pasta dish needs and one that your whole family is going to love!  It’s SO easy to make to!!  They will honestly think you slaved away all day on it.  Shhh…it’ll be our little secret!  :)  ENJOY!

Cheesy Smoked Sausage and Pasta

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 c onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 c chicken broth
  • 10 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 c whole milk
  • 8 oz dry pasta
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper, each
  • 1 c shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese



Add olive oil to a 4-5 quart saute pan over medium high heat; then add onions and sausage and cook until lightly browned.


Next add garlic and cook for Another 30 seconds.


Then add chicken broth, tomatoes, milk, pasta, and seasonings; bring the mixture to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to low to simmer for about 15 minutes or until pasta is tender.


Turn off the heat and stir in 1/2 cup of cheese and then sprinkle remaining cheese on top and cover for about five minutes to allow cheese to melt.
