Bay Window Decorating ideas

Before the bay window, we actually had 3 separate windows.  However, this is so long ago that I can’t even remember what that looked like; therefore, we’ve had a bay window in our Living Room for years!!  There’s really only so much you can do to mix up a bay window, but over the years its gone through quite a few changes!

As you can see, this is pretty much what our bay window started out as (say hello to Cashew’s favorite spot).  These curtains were a way to sort of “block out” the excess window so it wasn’t so see through.  However we weren’t real happy with this look and finally decided to change it in the Summer of 2011.

This opened the window up a little more and gave it a more modern look.  However, when we opened the window up more, we ended up with obviously more window space, which…we didn’t like.  Living in a neighborhood like we do, we felt like people could look into our home a little more; therefore we were on the hunt for some privacy!

This is what we ended up with at this time!  These blinds are AMAZING!  They’re see-through, yet not so much.  You can’t really tell from this picture, but they are basically two layers in which we can move how we like.  We can open them by lining the layers up, or close them by alternating the “stripes.”  The actual blinds also crank up so you can open them completely.  We love them!  It was a great option for us that we are really happy with!  :)

However we have since redone the living room and now this is what our beautiful Bay Window now looks like.

The blinds and the window in itself definitely stand out!
