Crockpot Salsa Verde Honey Lime Chicken recipe

I love a good taco night and this chicken definitely makes for some good tacos that everyone will love for your next Taco Tuesday!  :)  It’s sweet and delicious and definitely easy to make!  The whole family will love this and will ask for seconds, trust me!  :)  ENJOY!

Crockpot Salsa Verde Honey Lime Chicken

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 c mild salsa verde
  • 1/3-1/2 c honey
  • 1/2 c lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp pepper



Rub chicken breasts with olive oil and place in the bottom of crockpot.


Add all of the remaining ingredients to crockpot and cook on high for 2-4 hours or on low for 6-7 hours until chicken is tender enough to shred.


Shred chicken and stir in with remaining liquid to let cook on low for an additional 20-30 minutes to absorb some of the liquid/juices; drain excess liquid before serving.


Stuff into taco shells with desired taco toppings!
