Below is a photo that I saw on Yahoo.com yesterday with this caption:
A huge tornado funnel cloud touches down in Orchard, Iowa, Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 9:04 p.m. The Globe Gazette and Mitchell County Press News reported that Lori Mehmen of Orchard, took the photo from outside her front door. Mehmen said the funnel cloud came near the ground and then went back up into the clouds. Besides tree and crop damage, no human injuries were reported.

Toward the end of last year cPanel 11 was released and installed on all of The Whole Shebang’s accounts. This updated version of cPanel allowed the option for MYSQL 5, the newest release, to now be installed on all accounts.
As well as update versions of MySQL and PHP, server administrators will also enable PHP SuEXEC. PHP SuEXEC will allow the server to become more secure by allowing users the ability to run CGI and SSI programs under user IDs different from the user ID of the calling web-server. Normally, when a CGI or SSI program executes, it runs as the same user who is running the web server.
In order to keep the server as up to date as possible, the server administrative team will begin to reconfigure the server and after June 20, 2008 MYSQL 5 will be the default version of MYSQL, and PHP 5 will be the default version of PHP. These newest versions of MYSQL and PHP have already been tested and are currently installed on other servers. This update has caused no new issues to those servers and the clients on those servers.
PHP 5 is the default version to parse documents ending with the following extensions:
.php
.phps
.phtml
.php5
This change will occur for the server which hosts The Whole Shebang clients’ websites on June 20, 2008 at 11:59 PM EST.
Most applications should run perfectly fine under MYSQL 5 as well as PHP5, however some may find that their applications do not work properly and require MYSQL 4 or PHP 4. It is recommended that you check with your application vendors to ensure that the application is compatible with version 5, and update your software if necessary.
If no updates are available for the software you are using, you will be able to continue using PHP 4. On the day of the change (June 20, 2008), place the following commands into a file named ‘.htaccess’ under the root directory for the application which requires PHP version 4.
You may also change the version of PHP inside your cPanel. You may do this by first logging into your cPanel account. Then navigate to the link named “PHP Configuration”. Once there, there will be a drop down menu at the top that will allow you to change the default version of PHP.
Action application/x-httpd-php4 /cgi-sys/php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .php
Between last night and early this morning, our email account was attacked with spam which clogged our inboxes. I know some clients called and mentioned that they could not get emails to go through because it told them the mailbox was full. The issue is now fixed and you can email The Whole Shebang all you want! :)
I figured this is definitely fitting considering I just send out an email to all of you Shebang clients about the upcoming day The Whole Shebang will be closed…thanks goes out to “Bergoo.” ;)
PS - Don’t worry, you won’t receive any emails like these from The Whole Shebang. :)

1. I am currently out of the office at a job interview and will reply to you if I fail to get the position. Please be prepared for my mood.
2. You are receiving this automatic notification because I am out of the office. If I was in, chances are you wouldn’t have received anything at all.
3. Sorry to have missed you, but I’m at the doctor’s having my brain and heart removed so I can be promoted to our management team.
4. I will be unable to delete all the e-mails you send me until I return from vacation. Please be patient, and your mail will be deleted in the order it was received.
5. Thank you for your e-mail. Your credit card has been charged $5.99 for the first 10 words and $1.99 for each additional word in your message.
6. The e-mail server is unable to verify your server connection. Your message has not been delivered. Please restart your computer and try sending again. (The beauty of this is that when you return, you can see who did this over and over and over…)
7. Thank you for your message, which has been added to a queuing system. You are currently in 352nd place, and can expect to receive a reply in approximately 19 weeks.
8. Hi, I’m thinking about what you’ve just sent me. Please wait by your PC for my response.
9. I’ve run away to join a different circus.
10. I will be out of the office for the next two weeks for medical reasons. When I return, please refer to me as ‘Lucille’ instead of Steve.
It seems as though everything is taken care of as far as the server is concerned; email, FTP, and browsing capabilities should all be working 100% perfect. There was an issue with someone else’s client who is on the same server The Whole Shebang’s clients are on. The problem has been taken care of and we should all be good to go from here on out.
Please remember that technology isn’t 100% perfect and we may experience some hiccups along the way. I had many thoughts about changing hosting providers due to the outages; however, I’ve been with this company for 8 years. And I haven’t had as many problems with them in 8 years as I have had the past 3 months. Most of the problems that occured were fixable and was no one’s fault. On the problems that weren’t due to electrical outages, I now have I have learned how to assist them with the issues in case they do rise again.
We once again apologize for that lack of stability that The Whole Shebang clients endured over the last few weeks and we would like to thank you all for being patent with us. :)
We are again sorry about the downtime that you may have experienced about 2 hrs ago. It seems to be fixed, however we are still in the process of figuring out why the server has been so sluggish lately with email, FTP, and browsing. Again, we are WELL aware of the issue and are hard at work on it. The result may end up being that we switch servers within the hosting company that The Whole Shebang deals with. If this is the conclusion, you may experience some downtime, however we will get it fixed ASAP. :) You shall hear from us again when we are positive the issue is fixed. Once again, we apologize. :)
Again, just another one I had to share…enjoy! :)
Before you think that something is wrong with your email, FTP, browsing, etc. due to everything running slower than normal, we want to let you know that we are well aware of it and are in the process in getting it fixed. :)
